School Activities

Williams Parkway Sr. P.S. strives to offer students the opportunity to get involved at school no matter what their interests. In order to do so we offer a variety of sports teams, clubs, and other fundraising and leadership-based opportunities. There are activities for everyone.

Williams Parkway is reknown for its sports programs for both boys and girls. Basketball, volleyball, ultimate frisbee, flag football, baseball, track and field, cross country, floor hockey, dodgeball, badminton, and soccer are well-established traditions at our school.

Some of our most popular clubs include: animation, tv/video production, games, drama, choir, yearbook, leadership, hockey club, robotics, Me to We, and the school play club.

Williams Parkway has a 32-year tradition of going to Camp Kilcoo in the spring! We also have some of our grade 6 students who attend Cedar Ridge Camp in the fall. Camp is a fun opportunity to learn about our natural environment, get to know others, learn to collaborate, take risks and grow as a leader. Any student who has attended Kilcoo will tell you about the fabulous fun and cameraderie experienced there. Hope your student will join us!

Spirit Days

At Williams Parkway we have four amazing house teams: Hawks, Eagles, Falcons and T-Birds. Students are placed in a house team and remain on that team for the remainder of their career at Williams Parkway. Teams compete in mini challenges throughout the year to accumulate house points! House points can be won by performing simple acts of kindness throughout the school, or by excelling in any school activity.

The biggest day for gaining house points are our spirit days. The spirit day in September welcomes and begins the new year with friendly rivalry, where each gender and grade level compete in house teams. The teams rotate through a series of fun activities, gaining house points. The day ends with a spirit assembly celebrating the efforts and determination of each house!

At the end of May the house points are totalled and the winning house team participates in a special field trip. In the past, winning house teams have gone to Ogada Outdoor Wilderness Facility in Brampton.
